I’m just about to check out of the Hotel Hortus in Amsterdam, my base of operations during the 2011 Cannabis Cup thanks to the Funky Farmers, and head out for five days in Belgium and then back to Detroit for the 40^th anniversary of my release from prison on December 13, 1971, when I heard the sad news from New Orleans that my dear friend Coco Robicheaux had collapsed from a heart attack and died at the Apple Barrel Saloon on Frenchmen Street just nights ago. So this program is dedicated to Coco and features songs from his great albums for Orleans Records called Spiritland, Louisiana Medicine Man, and Hoodoo Party, and from the Spiritland release titled Yeah, U Rite! Bon voyage, my brother.
